Access larger library of SolidWorks Simulation Materials in SolidWorks 2014 (New in SolidWorks 2014)

SolidWorks Simulation Professional and SolidWorks Simulation Premium users with active SolidWorks Simulation subscription services can access a much larger library of materials via the online SolidWorks materials portal. This library is available for SolidWorks Simulation Professional and above. 

You can access this in the Material property manager as shown below. Simulation Add-in needs to be turned on or else you won’t be able to see the link. An extended material database is provided through a partnership with Matereality LLC. 

You can search for materials based on the type of simulation study you want to perform, or the material model you want to use as shown below. Materials downloaded from the online SolidWorks materials portal are automatically added to the materials list available in the SolidWorks Simulation Material dialog box.
